knight’s oath review

my absolute favourite thing about this book was the inclusion of plus sized characters. for some reason this isn’t a common feature in fantasy books, and i found it rather refreshing. i particularly liked how eliana never once tried to lose weight or shamed herself for being bigger.

all of the characters in knight’s oath were loveable and relatable. eliana and rachiele were two strong women, with a loving friendship. i could read a book where it’s just those two all day long.

corin on the other hand was a bit more complex. at first, he’s portrayed as mysterious. after a bit, all mysteriousness has gone out the window (wherein he becomes like a lost puppy).

i loved the plot of this book. i was hooked the whole way through and didn’t get bored. the use of magic was well written into the story, and i’m eager to see where things with go with eliana after the events at the end.

overall, knight’s oath was a good blend of historical fiction and fantasy and i look forward to reading the next book in the series.
