a lesson in vengeance is the perfect book if you’re looking for a gothic setting or dark academia vibes. (this book isn’t a historical fiction, although i thought it was from the blurb. it’s a contemporary setting).
while this book took a little bit to get into, i found i couldn’t put it down once immersed in the story. the characters took a little warming up to also, but i loved them once we got there.
i absolutely loved the plot twists towards the end of the book. i didn’t see them coming, and they were well executed. the plot was very intense and engaging and i struggled to put the book down.
if you’re looking for a spooky witch-y book to read in time for halloween, i highly recommend a lesson in vengeance!
