black paradox review
black paradox is the first manga I’ve read in a long while. i used to read them fairly frequently, but phased out of them for some reason. i definitely want to increase the amount i read, as they’re always so interesting and hard to put down.
i absolutely loved the unique concept that this book had. the paradonite was so creative and unexpected. it’s unlike any book i’ve read before.
the art was interesting. while i loved it, i struggled with the trypophobia side of things. (i had to cover a few images, but it wasn’t the end of the world. had me feeling quite uncomfortable at times, but i don’t think this is the case for most people).
i found black paradox to be a good blend of scifi and horror. i loved the use of souls and other dimensions while including the creepiness of doppelgangers. (however, i wished the author properly tied off what their purpose was).
as my first ever book by this author, I’m keen to read their other work. junji ito has proven to me that they know how to create a creepy manga that keeps you flipping the pages.

Wonderful review. One day, you’ll convince me to read Manga
i hope i can manage that! i don’t think manga is for everyone but some are better than others (as with all books).
