aristotle and dante review

aka: ari and dante book 2!!!

it’s been a good few years since i read the first book. at least five, probably more. i didn’t bother to reread it prior to picking up the sequel (i remembered most of it, surprisingly).

the first thing i noticed about this book is that it’s written in the same way as the first. short chapters make for quick reading. the writing is made up of 75% dialogue (witty, funny back and forths).

picking up where the first book left off, we follow Ari and Dante as they navigate school and friends, while coming out to those that matter. my favourite thing about this book was how accepting and loving both families were.

as with book one, my only issue was the lack of plot, however this is made up by loveable characters (and their excellent dialogue 😂).

not to mention the ending???? so wholesome and cute??

all in all, this book was so cute and worth the read. saenz has a magical way with words.
